As a holistic nutritionist, I understand the importance of sending your kids to school with nutritious, easy to prepare, delicious lunches and snacks. If you’re prepared, kids as young as 3 or 4, (with adult supervision) can pack their own lunch boxes. This gives them some input into the daily meals and snacks they eat when they’re not at home and ensures that they are eating healthy foods that they like. Plus it’s fun for them to create their own favourite combinations of food.
I’ve noticed that many lunch boxes and food containers now have added features, like packs to keep food cool or warm, as well a thermoses. There are also a huge assortment of colours and themes to choose from.

Of course, this is just a guide, you and your kids can add to the chart to customize their favourite foods. And always check with your school to ensure that any items in your child’s lunch meet their allergy guidelines.
Don’t forget to pack a container of water to drink, and a personalized note is a nice thing to add as well
