Hard to imagine, but you might be a little tired of all the holiday treats you’ve been having over the past couple of weeks. I know I am. So I made myself a nice little pick-me-up this morning to recharge.
This easy to make, all natural, super-charged drink gave me a nice little energy boost and is pretty simple to make.
Here’s what you need:
1 stalk of celery
a handfuls of parsley
1 small beet
1/4 of a red pepper
1/2 a tomato
1 small apple
1 tbsp. protein powder of your choice (the one I use is a dairy and gluten free, rice protein)
- place all your ingredients into the cup of your immersion blender or a large glass
- add 1/2 – 1 cup of water
- blend until smooth
I do mine in my immersion blender, because I like all the fiber that you get, but you can you use a blender or juicer as well.
This drink is chock full of good stuff like vitamins A, C and K, potassium, folate, antioxidant nutrients and phytonutrients such as beta carotene and lutein, and fiber of course!
